About the app
This policy applies to the Android app Pocket Mechanism (package name app.pocketmechanism.riverpa), operated by Riverpa Hoho. The app offers eight tactile toys. It does not require you to create an account, make a purchase, or provide your name or email to play.
The toy experience works offline. An internet connection is used to update privacy consent information and to request and display advertising.
Information handled
Information kept on your device
The app saves limited preferences and play state locally on your device so the experience can remember your settings. This information is not sent to an app server operated by us. Android backup may include app data if backup is enabled on your device.
Information processed for ads
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen SDK (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). According to Google's SDK disclosure, the ads SDK may automatically collect and share:
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate a general location;
- app interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad or video views;
- diagnostic information about app and SDK performance; and
- device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available.
The app does not include a separate, custom analytics service. This does not mean that Google's advertising SDK performs no measurement or analytics.
Why information is used
Local preferences support the toy experience. Google processes advertising-related information to serve and measure ads, manage consent, and help prevent fraud and abuse. The types of ads and data processing can depend on your region, device settings, and consent choices.
Your choices
The app checks whether a Google consent form is required and displays one when available and applicable. If Google requires privacy options to remain available, a Privacy choices entry appears on the toy shelf so you can review or change your choices. You can also manage or reset the Android advertising ID in your device settings. Turning off internet access lets you use the toys offline, while ads and consent updates may then be unavailable.
Retention and deletion
Local preferences remain on your device until you clear the app's storage or remove the app. Depending on your Android backup settings, backed-up app data may be restored later. We do not maintain an app account or a separate server copy of your toy preferences.
Google controls retention of information processed by its advertising and consent services. For Google's controls and deletion options, see the Google Account data and privacy controls. You can also contact us about a privacy request using the address below.
Security
The app stores toy preferences in Android's app storage. Google's Mobile Ads SDK states that data it collects is encrypted in transit using TLS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit the app's own data handling to what is described in this policy.
